Effective March 14 2019, the Canadian Patient Safety Institute has archived the Sepsis intervention. Though you may continue to access the Getting Started Kit online, it will no longer be updated.

The term maternal sepsis refers to sepsis occurring during pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium. It encompasses a complicated clinical scenario due to the presence of an additional patient (the fetus) and significant pregnancy-related alterations in cardiorespiratory, immunological and metabolic functions.
