How can best practices in Teamwork and Communication contribute to our ability to improve patient safety – at your health care facility – and nationwide?

Join us for a unique multi-phased learning opportunity. Featuring content from the TeamSTEPPS Canada™ program, this comprehensive program includes face-to-face didactic teaching, coaching support and webinar-based learning. It is a dynamic collaboration between CPSI faculty and mentors and peers from multiple health care sectors across Canada.





Learning Session Schedule

  • Session 1: April 30-May 1, 2019
  • Session 2: June 10, 2019
  • Session 3: September 11, 2019
  • Session 4: October 9, 2019
  • Session 5: November 13, 2019
  • ​Session 6: December 4, 2019
  • Session 7: January 8, 2020
  • Session 8: March 25, 2020
  • Closing congress: April 22-23, 2020

Who is it for?

This program has been developed for participants representing facilities and institutions across all healthcare sectors Canada-wide from a variety of healthcare disciplines. 

Your team will receive the greatest value by sending Core Members who are committed to attending the learning session and remaining involved throughout the 18-month program. It is recommended that each Core Team is comprised of:

  • One representative from Middle Management 
  • One Quality Improvement Team Lead 
  • One Point of Care Staff Member
  • One Clinical Champion

The core team will be responsible for sharing knowledge with your staff and implementing the practices, procedures and strategies within your health care operations.

Availability and fees

A maximum of eight teams from different organizations across the country will be selected to participate in the Teamwork and Communication collaborative. 

Cost of participation per four-member core team is $5,000 (CAD) and $1,250 (CAD) for each additional member attending the In-person Learning Session and Closing Congress.

The registration fee includes travel, accommodation, and attendance at two In-person events. Incidentals, ground transportation and meals incurred outside the learning sessions will be the responsibility of the sponsoring organization.
