Q: Is there support for organizations to continue data collection?
Yes, we are offering Measurement Packages to continue data collection. We can also put you in touch with our vendors if you wish to build your own system.
Q: What is in the Measurement Package?
The packages contain the Getting Started Kit (GSK), measure definitions, a Data Collection (Audit) Form template, and an Excel template to calculate the results and scores.
A Measurement Package is available for each intervention, including Falls, HH, MedRec, SSI, and VTE.
Q: How can you get the Measurement Package?

Q: Is there a suggested template for data collection for Hand Hygiene?
The access database that was available in the early of the Hand Hygiene campaign is still available on the CPSI website, click here for the HH Observation Tools page.
Q: What happens to June data?
We are no longer accepting data, but we encourage teams to continue collecting data and use the tools in the Measurement Package to calculate their results.

Q: Can the Measurement Package be used by organizations that did not submit data to SHN previously?
Yes, you can use the Measurement Package to collect data locally.
Q: Is there a cost for the Measurement Package?
There is no charge as usual. All the materials are free.
Q: How can we continue to benchmark and compare data against peers?
You will no longer be able to compare your data to others. There is no more national benchmarking.
Q: How do we get in touch with the vendors?
Please contact info@hec-esc.ca if you are interested in getting in touch with our vendors to build a system similar to PSMetrics.
Q: Is there a cost to work with the vendors?
Yes, the cost will depend on the solution you discuss with the vendors. They are offering volume discounts.
Q: How will the complete datasets be shared?
You can download the data on your own by logging into PSMetrics prior to July 1, 2016. You will have to contact info@hec-esc.ca after July 1, 2016.
We will send a copy of the data to all CEOs.
Q: In what format are you sharing the datasets?
The data will be shared as an Excel file.
Q: What is the size of the dataset?
The datasets are about 0.1 Mb per site. Where applicable, reports with multiple sites are about 1 Mb in size.
