The Canadian Patient Safety Institute is delighted to announce the outcome of our 2013-2014 Patient Safety Studentships competition.
The Canadian Patient Safety Institute extends their congratulations to the following successful applicants:
Studentship funding for successful candidates will be distributed in December 2013 with final project deliverables to be shared with the field by December 2014.
Background and Program Objectives
Studentships are an important way to increase student capacity in applied patient safety research. They aim to create new collaborative learning opportunities to facilitate implementation of practical ideas and tools to improve patient safety.
The objectives of these Studentship investments are to:
Create new collaborative learning opportunities aligned with one of CPSI’s four clinical priority areas: homecare safety, surgical safety, medication safety, and/or infection prevention and control;
Build student capacity in designing and leading applied research; and
Contribute to new knowledge generation in patient safety.
All studentship applications were reviewed by an interdisciplinary expert review panel.
We thank all students for their thoughtful applications and their substantial efforts. We also wish to thank our review panel for their contribution to this work.
