The third in our webinar series is on paediatric patient safety. Dr. Anne Matlow will revisit some of the findings from her Canadian Paediatric Adverse Events Study, and reflect on what they mean for those who are committed to making care safer for paediatric patients. Dr. Matlow is currently Professor of Medicine, Paediatrics, Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology and Faculty Lead, Strategic Initiatives, Postgraduate Medical Education at the University of Toronto. She will be joined by Dr. Trey Coffey, Staff Paediatrician and researcher at the Hospital for Sick Children, who will provide insight into her study on interventions to improve resident-physician communication during handoffs of patient care (called the I-PASS handoff bundle).
