Human factors help us understand how the design of systems and technology impacts the work we do, our communication with colleagues and patients, and the safety and effectiveness of the care we deliver.
The first National Call WebEx session will introduce the HF Network and its membership, talk about where information regarding the basic principles of human factors can be found, and introduce the national call series topics. Although the emphasis will be on Canadian content, reference will also be made to human factors work being done in other countries around the world as well as in other industries that apply to healthcare. The National Call WebEx sessions will be one hour in length, have a topic leader to introduce and guide the discussion, and one or more participants to explain how they have utilized human factors knowledge in a healthcare setting
