"The patient was undergoing an MRI and had a "sand bag" attached to his arm. Unknown to staff, the "sand bag" contained iron pellets and as the patient was being moved into the MRI, the iron-filled bag flew into the magnet and pinned the patient's forearm to the side of the magnet. Emergency measures were used to turn the magnet off and the patient was unharmed. This alert includes actions to reduce risk."
