Roberta Baker is a Clinical Pharmacy Manager with Nova Scotia Health Authority (central zone) and a Pharmacist Consultant for the NS Provincial Drug Distribution Program (PDDP). Through her leadership, the Pharmacy Drug Use Management Program and Pharmacy IT team have implemented quality initiatives to support appropriate drug use and enhanced the Pharmacy Information System to support safe distribution tasks. As Accreditation Lead for Pharmacy Services, Roberta has collaborated with Health Care providers on projects and educational sessions that have enhanced patient safety. Her role as Clinical Manager of Pharmacists practicing, in a variety of services, including cardiology, neurology, medicine, warfarin clinic, dialysis, transplant and infectious diseases teams has highlighted the importance of capturing clinical key performance indicators that improve patient outcomes. As PDDP Pharmacist consultant, she works closely with PDDP and Pharmacy colleagues across the Province to identify approaches and alternatives for disruption challenges to ensure continued supply of medication for NS patients.
