Senior Program Manager
Steve provides program leadership and management in the following portfolios - Reporting, learning and sharing which includes Global Patient Safety Alerts and advising on policy and practice to improve transparency across Canada and internationally - Policy and regional relations for Alberta and British Columbia - International relations with the World Health Organization, implementing the WHO Global Patient Safety Challenge: Medication Without Harm and working with the International Medication Safety Network to advance global improvement.
His professional interests include public policy, quality, infectious disease, global health, digital health and the use of artificial intelligence to improve the healthcare system.
Steve has a BSc (Hon) in Physiology from the University of Western Ontario and an MPH in Health Policy & Management from the University of Alberta. He has lived across Canada and the United States and enjoys travelling to the remote regions of the world. He formerly played and coached elite level hockey, loves snowboarding, golf, baseball, climbing, trekking and running. He’s happiest in the mountains and plans to complete climbing the Seven Summits in the future.
