​Wave Two of the Home Care Safety Improvement Collaborative wrapped up on February 21st with a final symposium.  The keynote speaker, Dr. John Hirdes, gave a very exciting and inspiring presentation on how interRAI data can be used in real time to assist home care clients during times of natural disasters by identifying vulnerable patients and helping authorities prioritize.  Seven teams reported out on their progress and lessons learned. Most teams are interested in continuing an ongoing relationship with CPSI to support the work go forward.  Teams were universal in their support of coaching as a key enabler of this work. An independent evaluation of Wave Two is in the works, a Statement of Work has been created and CPSI will recruit an evaluator over the next few weeks.
