This newsletter discusses the importance of engaging children in their medication and treatment plans, giving them a voice and empowering them to speak up when they have concerns. The newsletter relates an incident where a parent was about to apply a cream to her child’s skin for eczema when the child informed her that the cream was for another member of the family. A new resource intended speci¬fically for children based on the “5 Questions to Ask About Your Medications” poster has been developed by ISMP Canada. The new handout shares 5 questions that children can ask about their medicines. The newsletter provides tips for parents to help their children learn about their medications.
