Melissa Barton is the Director of Organizational Development and Healthy Workplace at the Sinai Health System. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo and a Masters of Business Administration from UBC. Melissa is passionate about creating leading-practice healthy workplace cultures that transform the way organizations deliver their best possible value to their clients and communities. She has worked in various health organizations over the past 20 years including the Quality Worklife – Quality Healthcare Collaborative which was a consortium of 13 national healthcare organizations that worked together to develop a national action strategy to improve the health of healthcare work environments. Melissa also gained private sector experience at BlackBerry (RIM) where she was Manager of Global Wellness and Manager of Corporate Environment, Health and Safety Strategy.
