Senior Program Manager
Renee Misfeldt joined CPSI in November 2018 as a Senior Program Manager with Policy Impact. She leads knowledge transfer initiatives for policy interventions in patient safety. Renee has over 25 years of experience as a health systems and policy researcher. She is an assistant clinical professor with the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Alberta. Before joining CPSI she was a senior research and evaluation consultant with Alberta Health Services, a private health system and policy consultant, a senior health policy researcher with Canadian Policy Research Networks and a workforce planner with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health. She holds a PhD in the sociology of healthcare from the University of Saskatchewan. She is the author and co-author of several publications on various healthcare topics including globalization, Canadian and international health human resources, the history of Medicare, patient-centred care, healthcare governance and primary health care. One of her publications is a health system profile of Nunavut published by McGill-Queen’s University of Press.
