    1. Post-procedural infections due to methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) or vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE) can also be included in B18: Infections Due to Clostridium difficile, MRSA or VRE.
    2. This clinical group excludes post-procedural urinary tract infection, gastroenteritis, pneumonia and aspiration pneumonia (refer to B12: Urinary Tract Infections, B14: Gastroenteritis, B15: Pneumonia and B16: Aspiration Pneumonia).
    3. This clinical group may include inflammatory reactions in the absence of infection.
