Preventing Falls in the Hospital – Jewish General Hospital, McGill University
Falling is something we've all experienced since we were children. In most cases, the results aren't serious—perhaps a scrape or bruise.
But the older and more vulnerable we become, the more seriously we feel the negative effects of falling. This is especially true when we're hospital patients, since hospitalization is a time of heightened vulnerability, regardless of age.
FallSafe was a quality improvement project that helped frontline staff to reliably deliver evidence based falls prevention.
