The Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI) has partnered with Discovery Campus to create Canada’s Hand Hygiene Challenge online learning module to help individuals and healthcare organizations improve infection control.

The hand hygiene e-learning module, available at, is a fun and interpretative way to learn, providing education on proper hand hygiene techniques, including the four moments for hand hygiene.  The free online module, including a quiz, takes only 15 minutes to complete and provides a certificate upon successful completion.

Take the course today! Visit to use the e-learning module.

Advanced features and customization available for organizations

For a small fee, organizations can also sign up for advanced access and reporting features.  Running an internal hand hygiene campaign? Want to collect evidence on your employee’s hand hygiene educational practices? The module’s advanced features can help you by providing usage reports, the opportunity for customization and also creates incentives for employees to participate.

After signing up for the advance reporting features, organizations are linked to a private website where their employees take the hand hygiene education module.  Organizations can then access usage reports quickly and efficiently to help to identify education compliance issues, skill gaps, and provide the data needed to meet Accreditation Canada’s required organizational practices (ROP) tests for compliance.

For more information, or to enrol your organization for customization and advanced reporting features, email, or call 1-416-846-0712.
