Information & Technology Manager
In his role as information & technology manager, Ali Alidina is responsible for managing information technology and telecommunications operations for the Canadian Patient Safety Institute including strategic planning, procurement, vendor management, and the oversight of all IT functions such as data center management, technical support, application development, and disaster recovery planning.
Ali has worn a variety of hats throughout his career. His roles have ranged from web software developer to software implementation consultant to web manager for a Big Five financial institution. He also volunteered his knowledge and skills as an IT trainer in Uganda for six months.
Ali holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, a postgraduate diploma in applied information technology from the Information Technology Institute, and a Master of Science degree in computer information systems from Boston University. Additionally, Ali has completed the Prosci Change Management certificate program. Ali also received an Information Systems Professional (ISP) designation through the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS).
