The Canadian Patient Safety Institute wants to see your best tips for talking.
What are tips for talking? They are ways in which healthcare organizations and providers achieve open, honest and transparent communication with the patients and families they care for. Of course, this isn’t limited to verbal communication.
We’re looking for creative and original video submissions promoting and demonstrating effective communication techniques for patient, client and resident safety in both healthcare and community settings. By the end of the competition, we’ll have compiled a treasure trove of great ideas that we can all use to improve communication between patients and providers.
Every video we receive will be shown during Canada’s Virtual Forum on Patient Safety and Quality Improvement (October 28, 29 and 30, 2015) and will be uploaded to the Canadian Patient Safety Institute’s YouTube channel.
All valid entries will be eligible to win one of two prizes. The grand prize will be awarded to the top video as chosen by the Canadian Patient Safety Institute. A secondary prize will be awarded to the top video chosen by members of the public based on the number of views the video receives on CPSI’s YouTube channel. Specific prizes have yet to be determined.
