Welcome! The goal of the Safe Surgery Saves Lives (SSSL) Collective is to bring people together who are working on improving surgical safety in Canadian healthcare. This Collective is a partnership between Safer Healthcare Now! and the Safe Surgery Saves Lives Working Group.
Each webinar session is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada”. This program has been reviewed and approved by the University of Ottawa, Office of Continuing Medical Education for up to 1.5 CME Credits for each webinar session attended.
The Checklist Action Series is the first program to be launched. It is a 3 month virtual initiative offered at no cost for Canadian surgical programs, teams and individuals to assist with effective implementation of a surgical checklist
There has been an overwhelming interest in the Checklist Action Series. At this time the second wave of the Series is full! However, if there is enough interest we will coordinate a third wave of the Checklist Action Series later in 2010. We will be sure to send you information as soon as we know when wave 3 of the Checklist Action Series will occur so that you can register if you are still interested.
