The Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI) together with the Canadian Anaesthesia Research Foundation (CARF) and the Canadian Anaesthesiologists' Society (CAS) is pleased to announce the Dr. R A Gordon Patient Safety Research Award, which funds original patient safety research in Canada. For this award, patient safety research is defined as research into mitigation of unsafe practices, and/or development of best practices for achieving optimal patient outcomes in the practice of clinical anesthesia.
