Canada Health Infoway (Infoway) and the Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI) are pleased to announce the publication of a joint report entitled: Electronic Health Records and Patient Safety: Future Directions for Canada. An environmental scan conducted by the Integrated Centre for Care Advancement through Research (iCARE) was the subject of discussions in Toronto on May 7th & 8th 2007. National and international experts weighed in on the contents of the environmental scan and the results of this roundtable discussion, coupled with the unabridged findings from the environmental scan, have been compiled by iCARE in a comprehensive report examining the relationships between Electronic Health Records and patient safety in Canada.
