Project Manager
In her role as Project Manager, Kim will design and deliver patient safety improvement programs to support the established priorities in the province. Kim will also support national CPSI initiatives related to effective governance and executive leadership for quality and safety.
Prior to joining CPSI, Kim was a Quality Improvement Consultant at the Centre for Healthcare Quality Improvement at the Change Foundation. At CHQI, Kim led the Improvement Team stream of the Flo Collaborative, which improved patient flow between hospital and community care environments across Ontario. Kim also led two multi-site waves of Releasing Time to Care™, a lean-inspired initiative developed by the National Health System Institute for Innovation and Improvement in England. In this role, Kim provided on-site consultation to Executive Sponsors, Steering Committees and Improvement Teams, delivered core training, supported spread and sustainability and collaborated with local, provincial and international colleagues to translate RTC to the Ontario practice environment. Kim also served as a Research Team member for two academic studies while at CHQI and is a contributing author to the book High Performing Healthcare Systems: Delivering Quality by Design (G. Ross Baker et al, 2008).
Kim brings over 20 years of healthcare experience to CPSI. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree (University of Western Ontario Occupational Therapy Program) and worked in a variety of front line and leadership roles in acute and community care, including Erinoakkids, St. Elizabeth Health Care and Markham Stouffville Hospital. In 2007, Kim earned a Masters degree in Health Administration (University of Toronto Health Policy, Management and Evaluation Program). In addition, Kim has received IHI Improvement Advisor and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training.
